Our mission is to connect

Urban Platter was started in 2015, with the goal of building a world-class food business with an emphasis on accountability, honesty and quality. It was clear to us, back then, that the discerning customer will eventually want a high-quality, origin-centric product which delights them and the onset of marketplaces meant new brands and distribution opportunities in front of us. We started by selling a wide range of 3rd party brands, and eventually steered our focus to private-label, Urban Platter branded products where we could offer the best of selection, quality and value to our customers.

Our vision is to build a very transparent organisation, which is employee-driven and outright in nature where people can be both themselves and their best. A typical day of working at our company includes a random fact or two about food tech, culinary trends discussions, product trials and impromptu conversations on sustainability too!

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing stable, aesthetically valued, cost-effective, and user-friendly packaging material in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handling the entire process of Packaging material sourcing from the stage of conceptualization to implementation.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers, leading regional supplier development.
  • Develop & Implement SOP for Packaging Development.
  • Effectively install cost monitoring mechanism to trace and track the price of commodities which directly or indirectly affect the cost of packaging.
  • Drive the sourcing strategy for the categories assigned for Vegan-Products, Seasonings, condiments etc.
  • Overview and monitor vendor performance, OTIF, Fill rate in coordination with the Supply Chain Team.
  • Lead & execute cost reduction initiatives through negotiation or alternate vendor development in coordination with the Product commercialization team.
  • Capacity planning of all products to meet the requirements in line with the organization’s growth plan.

The ideal candidate needs to have more than 3 of these 5 qualities:

  • Excellent Communication, Negotiation, and Follow-up skills.
  • Graduation from Indian Institute of Packaging.
  • Analytical skills bundled with practical implementation.
  • Team-player qualities of Patience, Collaboration, and Straightforwardness.

As a Senior Manager - Accounts and Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, compliances, taxation, and reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Stay updated with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage GST compliance, including timely filing of returns, reconciliation of GST data, and handling GST audits.
  • Ensure compliance with TDS regulations, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of income tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory and management reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably in FMCG industry.
