Smoky Brazilian Cauliflower

Inspired by the "Churrascarias" or grill houses of Brazil, this smoky Cauliflower steak wth Chimichurri sauce is the perfect main course after a long day! And you don't have to do much to bring out the smokiness if you use our Beechwood liquid smoke!

For the Chimichurri Sauce


Making the Cauliflower

  • Place the cauliflower on a baking tray.
  • In a bowl, add the olive oil, liquid smoke, garlic, and red chilli flakes. Mix well to combine everything.
  • Spoon the marinade over the cauliflower steaks and let it marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Place the marinated cauliflower steaks in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • You are looking for some char on the cauliflower and for it to be completely cooked.
  • When you have achieved both of these, remove the tray from the oven and set aside.

Making the Chimichurri Sauce

  • Chimichurri is a very traditional Brazilian sauce that is a mix of chopped parsley and oil!
  • In a bowl, add all of the ingredients mentioned under the sacue and combine well.
  • Transfer the cooked cauliflower to your favourite plate and spoon the chimichurri over them and enjoy a traditional Churrascaria meal!
