Purple Rain Mocktail
This magical mocktail recipe is the perfect thing for your next virtual party! It has properties that are theatrical and will completely wow your guests. Made using Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Tea and our Bergotto Lemonade that is made using Bergamot, it tastes fantastic too!

Ingredients
For Blue Pea Tea Decoction
- 1 tbsp Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Tea
- 1 cup Water
For Sugar Rim
- 1 tbsp Caster Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Citric Acid
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Freeze Dried Strawberry Powder
For the Mocktail
- 1 tsp Golden Syrup
- 1 bottle Bergotto Lemonade
Instructions
For the Blue Tea Decoction
- In a small pot, boil the water and add the blue butterfly pea flower tea. Turn the heat off and let the tea steep in the water for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea and cool the decoction completely.
For the Sugar Rim
- In a small plate, add the the sugar, salt, citric acid, strawberry powder and mix well.
For the Mocktail
- Choose your desired glass, and using a lemon wedge, wet the rim of the glass enough for the sugar to stick.
- Add the golden syrup and blue tea to the glass and mix well to dissolve the syrup in the tea.
- Add the ice cubes and the bergotto lemonade and watch the magic happen.
