General Info on the product:
- How much can I consume in a day?
The quantity is dependant on your body type and general gut health as everybody’s body type is different. If you have a regular healthy gut you can have a full bottle a day or more; if you have a serious health condition or an unhealthy gut we recommend you to start with half a bottle and increase it gradually.
- At what time of the day should I consume?
It is great first thing in the morning during breakfast or even last thing at night before sleeping, but any time of the day is good.
- Does it have any added sugar?
We do not use any refined sugars in our kefir smoothies. All the flavors have natural sweeteners like wild honey or organic raw sugar.
In fact, the plain kefir doesn’t even have natural dairy sugars (lactose) as the fermentation process feeds on the natural sugars converted it into probiotics.
- Is it all natural?
We do not add any preservatives and use the best quality milk available in Maharashtra and superior probiotic kefir culture from Italy.
We are using all fresh, natural and as many local ingredients available in the market.
- Is Kefir Lactose-Free?
Kefir is 99 per cent lactose-free, as the kefir culture feeds on the lactose and converts them into probiotics. It also helps in reversing other food allergies.
- Can we add anything to the kefir or drink it as it is?
You can drink from the bottle as it is, or also use it as an ingredient! You can add kefir to your cereal; use it in salad dressings; fruit smoothies; green smoothies; dips and raitas. Dairy kefir can make a great base for soups and stews or recipes that would otherwise call for regular buttermilk, sour cream, heavy cream, or yoghurt.
- Do we have to keep the kefir refrigerated?
Yes, it has to be refrigerated at all times, between 2-8 degree. It can last at the room – temperature for approximately two hours till the active bacteria starts to ferment again. That does not mean it’s going bad, but it will get sour if over fermented.
- Can you heat/warm the kefir?
If you heat kefir or any probiotics for that matter, above 60 degrees Celsius you are likely killing most of the bacteria before they reach your mouth. We recommend having kefir cold or lukewarm for the beneficial bacteria, however, the nutrients from the kefir are still present and valuable post-heating.
