- Tofu also called bean curd, is a vegetarian and vegan-approved source of protein made by curdling soy milk (from soybeans) and then pressing the resulting curds into soft, white blocks.
- It is Lactose-free, Dairy-free, Protein-rich, has zero cholesterol and has no added preservatives.
- Note: Needs to be refrigerated and tastes really delicious. Though it is an extra firm, it becomes soft after making any dish or recipe.
- Add small cubes straight into miso soups or salads. Cut the tofu into quarters, coat lightly in potato starch, and fry to make agedashi tofu. Tofu is great in savoury dishes and can be used for scrambles, sandwiches and stir fry.
