Kanan’s family recipe hails from Meerut but has been re-invented along the years as she has travelled around the length & breadth of India. A perfect balance of spices hand pounded at her home in Gwalior which is bound to give you that little extra zing. A shortcut for you to make a truly Indian Masala Chai.
Key Ingredients include – Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Dry Ginger, Mace & Star Flower.
Recipe – Add Quarter tsp of the Masala in two cups of water and bring to a boil, proceed to add Tea Leaves & Jaggery. For an extra zing add Lemon Grass, Fresh Ginger & Mint Leaves while boiling.
